Hollywood Glamour Home Interior Decoration Ideas
The new house, which opens to the public Thursday, doesn’t looks rather like the old house, it is actually an old house, being built at the turn of the last century: a 25-foot-wide limestone confection and once was rehabbed by a foreign investor, with list price of $28.8 million (yearly taxes are $100,000). Last week, 18 design outfits were finishing up 17 rooms on six floors, seemingly relieved to be on familiar turf. The decorator describes the house’s initial condition as something that “is never, ever happened before — the house was locked; we couldn’t get in,” adding that the location is a much better place.

The Kips Bay show house has been something like the holy grails for designers due to its marketing potentials and promotional benefits that accrue to the design profession as a whole. As time changes, now most decorators have new way to sell their products. Objects like furniture, rug and wallpaper collections, books can be put into a show house room and this result in direct interaction with the prospective buyers.
