Update on Wooden Crate Planter Boxes

I have two more crates that I’m planning on filling up with basil next week. Over on Re-Nest I wrote about how I turned the crates into planters.

Calm Modern House In Scandinavian Style

June 28th, 2011 No comments

This beautiful house is located in Stockholm,. The house is designed by the owner herself, Birgitta Wolfgang Drejer, for her and her husband. Some of Scandinavian features such as big windows and white color domination, taste very strong in the house. Outside, with so many natural woods and a garden, natural green color filled almost the entire area. The combination between white color inside the house and natural green color outside the house brings a different kind atmosphere that not only make the house felt very calm and chic but also can refresh everyone who lives in the house.

The house is not very big, which make some space saving solution should be done.

My Ceiling Revisited…

June 26th, 2011 No comments

You may remember that I was debating a possible update to my home renovation.

I initially wanted to add mirror to the ceiling of my living room, but unfortunately that idea didn’t pan out. The mirror would have reflected the gap created by the cove ceiling — not a pretty sight.

Also, after getting some installation estimates, it was a little more than I had budgeted for the project.

Instead, I’ve been exploring other options to add more light without using mirrors.
